Implemented on Ubuntu as a VM within my Proxmox environment, mailCow provided an excellent platform to better understand the complex mechanisms of DNS, email protocols, and network configurations.
Utility and Advantages: mailCow has proven to be an essential tool for managing free and reliable emails for my domains. Thanks to its intuitive interface and powerful features, I can easily manage email communications without needing expensive third-party solutions.
Integration with Proxmox: A particularly advantageous aspect of mailCow is its smooth integration with my Proxmox environment. Notifications and alerts automatically sent from Proxmox are easily managed and received through mailCow, allowing me to stay updated on critical events or potential server issues.
Implementation: The implementation of mailCow was relatively simple, thanks to the clear documentation provided on the official website. Following the installation and configuration guide for Ubuntu carefully, I set up a dedicated VM on Proxmox and completed all necessary steps to ensure a correct and secure installation.

This included installing Ubuntu 22 as a VM on Proxmox, checking and configuring the firewall and ports, and correctly synchronizing the system’s date and time.
