IT Support Simulator is a practical project I developed to recreate real-life dynamics of IT support ticket management, within the context of a simulated corporate helpdesk.

Project Objective

The Ticket Manager Game was born with the objective of training and improving practical skills in IT support ticket management. Through simulated scenarios—such as blocked workstations, network issues, hardware malfunctions, and software configuration requests—the user must:

  • Analyze each request.
  • Use virtual diagnostic tools.
  • Select the most appropriate solution from a list of real options.

The simulated solutions reflect standard IT support practices, such as:

  • Restarting network services.
  • Resetting user credentials.
  • Checking hardware connections.
  • Updating or restoring drivers.
  • Diagnosing issues using system tools.

Technologies Used

For the development of the application, I chose a modern and performance-oriented technology stack:

  • Next.js — A React framework for fast and scalable applications.
  • TypeScript — A typed language that improves code robustness.
  • Tailwind CSS — A utility-first framework for creating responsive and modern designs.

How to Expand the Simulator

IT Support Simulator was designed to be also a learning base. It is easy to customize:

  • Add new problems by modifying src/data/tickets.ts.
  • Create new IT solutions in src/data/solutions.ts.
  • Configure custom diagnostic tools in src/data/tools.ts.
  • Customize the interface working on React components (src/components/).
